We're hiring a Business Development Manager to drive growth across core advanced manufacturing sectors.
This is an SME with huge ambition, and capability in advanced composite and metallic solutions. After a decade of diversified growth, they are now looking for a commercially sharp operator to help them scale further.
You'll have the backing of an established business, who have recently received external investment, has the agility to move fast and make things happen.
The Role
You'll be responsible for identifying, winning, and growing accounts This is a hands-on commercial role. You are expected to open doors, build relationships, and convert opportunities into revenue.
What you'll do:
- Build and execute short- and long-term BD strategies aligned with company objectives
- Identify new opportunities by matching customer requirements to their technical capabilities
- Own the full sales cycle, from early engagement through to contract signature
- Translate complex technical solutions into compelling commercial propositions
- Lead bid and tender responses, including pricing, P&L management and contract negotiation
- Deliver against revenue, growth, and profitability targets
- Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and contribute to revenue forecasting
What We're Looking for:
- Proven track record in business development within aerospace, defence, motorsport or advanced manufacturing
- Comfortable selling technical, engineered and manufactured solutions
- Strong existing network in the advanced manufacturing environment across regulated industries
- Entrepreneurial mindset, you thrive with autonomy and know how to build from the ground up
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
