Ingenious Laboratories Ltd
We are a science-led consumer health business focused on targeted, clinically supported products.
Our core formulation combines low-dose collagen with supporting ingredients, delivered through a patented capsule designed to release in the small intestine for effective absorption.
We operate a subscription-led DTC model alongside wholesale and international channels, with a focus on repeatable growth and disciplined execution.
We do not rely on broad claims or high-dose formulations. The approach is targeted, evidence-led and built to stand up to scrutiny.
ROLE PURPOSE
You own the numbers and what they mean.
The business should always know where it stands, what is driving it, and where pressure is building. This role exists to make that clear and to make it usable.
It is not a pure reporting role.
It is not insulated from the business.
Reporting directly to the CEO you will be close to decisions, and at times you will need to challenge them.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Financial control Executive and Board reporting that is accurate and on time
Cash, working capital and risk management
Build and control reporting and processes which will stand up to external scrutiny
Commercial insight Channel, pricing, retention, margin.
Commercial dashboard development and production Define, challenge and validate commercial strategies
Planning and forecasting Maintain a plan that reflects reality. Develop and maintain accurate models to support decision-making and enable sensible trade-offs
Unit economics and pricing Identify and manage reporting for sources of revenue
Recommend and support pricing decisions with evidence Push back when activity doesn’t hold up commercially
Cross-functional impact Lead and support financial and commercial decisions across marketing, operations and channels to bring clarity across the business
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred however strong commercial finance experience is equally valid. More important is judgement. You are comfortable taking a position and standing behind it.
Experience in a subscription-based business would be helpful but not essential.
