HGV Class 2 Driver – New Passes Welcome

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

This position would be ideal for applicants looking for a role a LGV Class 2 Driver, Truck Driver or Category C Driver.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday – Friday: 4am - 2pm

Pay Rate:

• £16.50 – £33.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will be:

• Safely operate and drive Category C vehicles to and from delivery locations
• To deliver and collect skips from customers as directed
• To complete pre and post safety checks on your vehicle in accordance with company policy and legal guidelines, reporting any defects promptly
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects to management
• Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff
• SOME HANDBALL REQUIRED

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be HGV Class 2 Driver will be:

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Understanding of road safety and compliance
• Must be reasonably physically fit as some handball required

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Good customer interaction and service skills

Training:

• Full industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
