Join Natixis in London as part of its Trade Finance Legal team, where you will play a key role in supporting a broad range of complex financing transactions across the UK and European markets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly visible and collaborative legal team at the centre of a dynamic international business, working closely with front office, risk, compliance, and senior stakeholders on strategically important transactions across multiple sectors and jurisdictions.



You will be responsible for supporting a variety of financing transactions, including:

  • Commodities Trade Finance – e.g. Uncommitted bilateral facilities, borrowing base facilities and similar structures.
  • Corporate Trade Finance – e.g. L/Cs, SBLCs, bid bonds and advance payment bonds.
  • Supply Chain Finance – e.g. Discounting of receivables and payable finance.
  • Export Finance – e.g. ECA-covered facilities and related financing structures.


Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Advising the Trade Finance business line and key internal stakeholders, including Middle Office, Risk, Compliance, and Agency, on a wide range of legal and transactional matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation across a variety of financing transactions, including syndicated loans, discounting facilities and bilateral facilities.
  • Providing legal input to internal approval processes, including credit committee and transaction governance matters.
  • Liaising with and coordinating external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Actively contributing to the Trade Finance legal team’s broader initiatives, including knowledge sharing, best practice development and cross-functional legal working groups.


Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

  • England & Wales qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
  • Ideally strong experience in commodity trade finance and/or receivables finance.
  • Candidates with broader structured finance experience will also be considered, particularly where there is a strong interest in developing trade finance expertise.
  • Prior experience within a leading international law firm, with a focus on financing transactions.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international and commercially driven environment.
