Central London (Hybrid) | Up to £100,000 base salary depending on experience


About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a rapidly scaling fintech payments organisation based in Central London. Operating within a highly regulated environment, this role will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance.


This is a high-impact position in a fast-growing business where pace, precision, and strong stakeholder engagement are essential.


Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager (Payments) include:

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of complex fintech and payments projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance
  • Define project scope, timelines, governance, and delivery methodologies (Agile or hybrid)
  • Ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and aligned with regulatory requirements
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges
  • Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes and governance frameworks


Key Requirements of the Project Manager (Payments) include:

  • 3+ years experience as a Project Manager within fintech or payments
  • Strong understanding of Agile and/or hybrid delivery approaches
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders effectively
  • Experience delivering complex, cross-functional programmes end-to-end
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Knowledge of payment systems, card issuing, or regulated financial products is advantageous
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
