The firm is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Manager (or a Manager looking to step up) to support the delivery of operational excellence and continuous improvement across tax compliance and reporting. This role will suit someone with solid tax technical foundations, intellectual curiosity and a consulting mindset, who enjoys driving and implementing transformational change.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate complex tax, process and technology concepts clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients.
- Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to develop innovative, value‑driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Review existing tax processes and controls, identifying opportunities for automation, AI enablement and workflow optimisation within tax reporting.
- Lead and coordinate tax subject matter experts and technology delivery teams through the design, build and implementation of enhancement initiatives.
- Work closely with senior client stakeholders, including Heads of Tax and IT leaders, to translate business needs into clear and actionable technology requirements.
- Design and implement effective operating models to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of tax provision and compliance processes, supporting clients through tax and finance transformation in an evolving regulatory environment.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Degree in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Finance, IT, STEM or similar).
- Working knowledge of Indirect Tax (e.g. VAT), Direct Tax (e.g. Corporate income tax) and core transfer pricing principles.
- Proven experience in designing and embedding operating models and data strategies that deliver operational improvement.
- Familiarity with data, analytics, automation tools and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle).
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically, manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
Desirable:
- Consulting and project management experience, ideally within financial services or tax‑focused transformation programmes.
- Experience implementing or enhancing tax reporting and compliance systems.
What’s On Offer
Our client offers exposure to complex, high‑impact projects in a supportive and inclusive culture. The role provides the opportunity to build future‑focused skills, work alongside highly experienced professionals and play a key role in delivering meaningful transformation for clients.
Flexible working and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are central to the firm’s culture.
