A leading London law firm with a standout reputation is looking to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate to join it's highly regarded Investment Funds & Sponsor Advisory team.
This is an opportunity to join a market-leading funds practice recognised for advising sophisticated sponsors, asset managers, institutional investors and family offices on complex, high-value matters across the global investment management market. The team is known for combining deep expertise with strong transactional capability, offering lawyers exposure to both headline fundraisings and broader sponsor side strategic work.
The practice acts across a broad range of alternative investment strategies including buyout, credit, venture, infrastructure and real assets. Lawyers in the team advise clients through the full fund lifecycle, from structuring and formation through to operational and strategic matters.
The Role:
- Taking a lead role on private fundraisings and sponsor-side mandates.
- Advising on structuring, jurisdictional analysis and regulatory considerations.
- Drafting and negotiating core fund documentation including LPAs, side letters, subscription agreements and offering materials.
- Coordinating multi-jurisdictional advice alongside international counsel.
- Advising on incentive arrangements and carried interest structures.
- Supporting sponsors on broader operational, governance and compliance matters.
- Working closely with corporate and transactional teams on fund-related aspects of M&A, continuation vehicles, GP stake transactions and secondaries.
Key Requirements:
- 1-6 years' PQE gained at a leading private funds practice.
- Strong experience in fund formation across one or more private capital asset classes.
- Excellent technical and drafting skills.
- Confidence managing sophisticated clients and coordinating complex matters.
