We are now seeking a Social Media Content Executive to support the creation and delivery of engaging, high-frequency content across our channels.


Main duties


Content capture and creation

  • Travel regularly to London centres and UK partner locations (e.g. Liverpool, Wolverhampton, Cumbria) to capture content.
  • Film student testimonials, classroom activities, campus life, and excursions using mobile-first formats
  • Identify opportunities to capture authentic, engaging content aligned with current trends


Content editing and production

  • Edit short-form video content (e.g. Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) using tools such as CapCut, Instagram Edits or similar
  • Create simple static content (graphics, carousels) using Canva or Adobe tools
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines across multiple brands


Content publishing and scheduling

  • Schedule and publish content across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Support delivery of a consistent posting schedule, particularly during peak recruitment periods


Content sourcing & collaboration

  • Work closely with centre teams to source content and identify opportunities for filming
  • Encourage participation from students and staff to generate user-led content
  • Build relationships with student ambassadors to support ongoing content creation


Trend monitoring & optimisation

  • Stay up to date with social media trends and platform developments
  • Adapt content quickly to maximise engagement and reach
  • Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness


Person Specification


Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
  • Strong experience creating and editing short-form video content (mobile-first)
  • Experience managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram (TikTok desirable)
  • Proficiency in tools such as CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of social media trends, formats and best practices
  • Ability to travel regularly within the UK

  • Creative and proactive, with a strong eye for engaging content
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple content streams across brands
  • Happy to travel independently and frequently
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage students and staff
  • Adaptable and responsive to fast-moving trends
  • Reliable and able to manage workload across multiple priorities


Desirable

  • Experience in education, youth or international markets
  • Experience working with ambassadors or user-generated content
  • Basic understanding of paid social media
