About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Childrens Support Workers to join our team supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children with autism and EBD
• Build trusting, positive relationships to promote emotional wellbeing and development
• Support children with routines, education, social activities, and life skills
• Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies where needed
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and care documentation
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals
• Promote safeguarding, equality, and the rights of every child
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive outcomes

Requirements

• Experience working with children with Autism and/or EBD preferred
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care / Children & Young People (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach under pressure
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
