Head of Hydropower

We are partnering with a established player in the energy engineering sector to find a driven Commercial Lead to head up their Hydro Power stream. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, leading negotiations, and shaping the future of renewable energy projects.

The Role:

• Develop and implement the commercial approach for the Hydro Power portfolio
• Identify new business opportunities and support the business at trade shows and client meetings
• Lead the full tendering lifecycle, from enquiry to contract award, ensuring commercial and contractual alignment
• Act as the key liaison for clients, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction
• Work closely with operational teams to support smooth project delivery and attend governance reviews

What We’re Looking For:

• Sector experience within hydroelectric or conventional power generation environments
• A blend of technical insight and commercial skill, ideally with a foundation in engineering
• Familiarity with electrical rotating plant and the ability to work with engineering schematics
• A proven track record in managing bids, writing proposals, and closing contracts
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead conversations and influence outcomes
• Comfort with regular travel across the UK and occasional international trips
