Senior Account Executive (Outbound)
Mid-Market / Enterprise | Payments / Fintech
London (3 days per week in-office)
Up to £90,000 base + uncapped commission double OTE + equity
We’re partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed fintech on a mission to fundamentally reshape the economics of payments. Their product is already gaining serious traction across the UK, helping merchants reduce costs, increase conversion, and drive customer loyalty through a genuinely differentiated payment solution.
With strong backing, proven leadership, and rapid adoption across thousands of businesses, they are now scaling their commercial team - and hiring senior, high-performing Account Executives to drive the next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
This is a true new business / hunting role where you’ll own the full sales cycle - from prospecting through to close - targeting mid-cap and enterprise merchants.
You’ll have the autonomy to build your own pipeline, shape your vertical focus, and influence go-to-market strategy, while working alongside an experienced leadership team and a fast-moving, ambitious sales function.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Owning end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, discovery, demo, negotiation, and close
- Targeting mid-market (£50m+ revenue) and enterprise merchants across multiple verticals
- Building and managing a high-quality pipeline through outbound activity
- Running complex, multi-stakeholder deals and identifying internal champions
- Collaborating with product and leadership teams to shape propositions and vertical strategy
- Consistently hitting and exceeding revenue targets
What We’re Looking For:
- 6–8+ years B2B sales experience (must be operating at Senior AE level)
- Strong background in payments, fintech, or SaaS
- Ideally BNPL exposure (6–12+ months preferred)
- Proven success in new business / outbound sales roles (not account management)
- Experience selling into mid-market and/or enterprise organisations
- A self-starter, high-energy “hunter” mentality — proactive, resourceful, and commercially sharp
- Confident running complex, multi-threaded sales cycles
