ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Programme Tutor in Media and Broadcasting, you will deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching that inspires learners to develop their creative and technical skills. You will support students to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching, inclusive practice, and real-world learning experiences.
This role involves delivering a range of digital creative content and media-based topics, using industry-standard tools and techniques. You will help learners build practical skills in areas such as content creation, broadcasting, and digital production, preparing them for progression into further study or employment.
Interviews for this role are expected to be held week commencing 18th May 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Media and Broadcasting programmes
- Support learners to develop digital creative content skills, including the use of industry-standard software and production techniques
- Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement, taking timely action to support success
- Provide clear feedback and set meaningful targets to support continuous learner development
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content remains current, engaging, and aligned to industry standards
- Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A recognised teaching qualification (Level 5 or above)
- Proven experience within media, broadcasting, or digital creative industries
- Ability to teach and develop learners' skills in digital creative content production across a range of platforms
- Experience delivering media and broadcasting topics, using practical, industry-relevant approaches
- Confidence using and teaching industry-standard software (such as Adobe Creative Suite and other creative tools), alongside radio and TV broadcasting techniques to a professional standard
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners
