Environmental Engineer

VertaseFLI Limited is looking for a Environmental Engineer

Job description

UK‑Wide Remediation Projects

Looking to accelerate your career with one of the UK’s most respected remediation contractors? VertaseFLI is searching for a talented Environmental Engineer to join our technically driven, hands‑on team.

If you’ve got a few solid years under your belt and want real responsibility, real variety and real progression, this is the role that will take you there.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role across the full lifecycle of our remediation projects — from early design and investigation through to delivery, monitoring and verification. Expect a mix of office and site work, exposure to a wide range of technologies, and the chance to work closely with project managers, site teams, clients and regulators.

You’ll get involved in:

• Designing and delivering Phase 1 & Phase 2 site investigations

• Environmental monitoring, sampling and data interpretation

• Supporting remediation design, pricing and tender development

• Producing technical reports, deployment forms and validation documentation

• Risk assessments for human health and controlled waters

• Liaising with clients, suppliers and regulators

• Deputising for Site Managers or Project Managers when required

This is a role where you’ll learn fast, contribute immediately and build a strong technical foundation for future progression.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in a relevant environmental or engineering discipline

• Around 3–5 years’ experience in site investigation, monitoring or remediation

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations

• Experience with verification data, GIS and sampling techniques

• Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills

• Full UK driving licence + relevant CSCS card

Why VertaseFLI?

Because you’ll be joining a company that doesn’t subcontract its remediation work — meaning you get hands‑on experience with a huge range of technologies and project types. You’ll work alongside industry experts, gain exposure to major UK projects and have clear pathways to progress into senior technical, project management or specialist roles.
