AI Engineer - Contract (Investment Banking)

Job description

At Caspian One, we work with many of the worlds leading Investment Banks, Hedge Funds & FinTech's building cutting edge, Gen AI tools supporting Front-Office teams globally.

Over the coming weeks & months, we will be building dedicated AI teams in front-office environments, ranging from 12-24 month initial contracts with the potential to be extended or to become permanent.

If you are actively pursuing a move away from your current role, or you are tentatively exploring the market, I would like to hear from you. This is a really exciting time for a lot of our key clients in this space, and as the need for experienced AI Engineering contractors grows, we want you to be at the front of the queue to be seen by key decision makers building cutting-edge teams in top-tier financial organisations.

Background I’m keen to speak with:

• Contract AI / Machine Learning Engineers
• Experience in Front Office / Trading / Quants / Risk / Electronic Trading
• Background within Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Hedge Funds or Buy-Side
• Strong hands-on Python (and relevant ML / GenAI frameworks)
• Experience with other relevant technologies (LangChain, LangGraph, Databricks etc)
• Cloud technology experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• UK-based or UK right-to-work contractors

What to expect:

• Contract opportunities only (inside & outside IR35 depending on client)
• Projects focused on AI, ML, GenAI, analytics, optimisation & automation
• Tier-1 investment banks, buy-side firms, and market-leading financial institutions
• Roles released on short notice - hence proactive engagement
