Role Description

This is an on-site volunteer role for an AI/ML Engineer, located in the United Kingdom. The role involves designing, developing, and testing AI and machine learning models; pre-processing and analyzing large data sets; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate intelligent systems into ShopQuick's operations. The AI/ML Engineer will also be responsible for optimizing algorithms, monitoring performance metrics, and staying updated with advancements in machine learning technologies while applying them to real-world challenges.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, including fundamental concepts and applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, with experience in using libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Strong data management skills, including data preprocessing, cleaning, and the ability to work with large data sets efficiently.
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and algorithm development techniques.
  • Problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the capacity to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, especially in collaborative and cross-functional settings.
  • A degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields is preferred.
  • Previous experience in retail technology or volunteering roles is a plus.
