Senior Java AWS Developer

Job description

We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a growing technology team working on the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud solutions. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact enterprise platforms, helping shape modern applications and services used at scale.

You will play a key part in developing backend systems, improving engineering processes and contributing to cloud transformation initiatives using modern technologies and best practices.

Key Skills:-

• Proven commercial experience(8+ years) in Java development with strong Spring Boot expertise
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS including ECS, ECR, DynamoDB, SQS and Step Functions
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and DevOps ways of working
• Frontend exposure using Angular or React, with TypeScript beneficial
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Familiarity with Docker, containerised environments and modern toolchains
• Strong understanding of secure coding, resilience and performance optimisation
• Experience with test automation frameworks and quality-focused delivery practices
• Ability to diagnose production issues and support live services when required
• Comfortable working in Agile teams with strong collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant AWS certification desirable
