We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established, forward-thinking engineering consultancy. This is a permanent, full-time position operating within an agile working framework.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role within the team, with a high degree of autonomy. Responsibilities include:
- Acting as Project Leader on selected projects
- Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attending client and principal meetings, including delivering presentations
- Promoting technical excellence within the mechanical engineering discipline
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Developing client relationships and contributing to repeat business
- Working across a variety of technically challenging projects
- Being client-facing throughout all project stages, from inception to completion
- Producing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Completing or overseeing engineering calculations
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- HNC/HND candidates with relevant design experience will also be considered
- Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in building services design (post-qualification)
- Experience with software such as Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, and Revit
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. British/European Standards, Building Regulations)
- Familiarity with HTMs (desirable)
- Professional membership (e.g. CIBSE, IET) preferred
- Understanding of HV/LV systems and embedded generation
- Experience with renewable technologies and sustainable design
- Working knowledge of BREEAM
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
