Job description
Location: London & Milton Keynes (with wider South East travel)
Contract: Permanent
Security Clearance: SC required
About the role
We are looking for an Energy Manager to join our Sustainability team, supporting two high‑profile, newly mobilised contracts.
This is a key role at an exciting stage of contract delivery, offering the opportunity to get involved from day one, helping to stabilise services into business‑as‑usual while shaping longer‑term energy and carbon reduction strategies across major public‑sector estates.
Reporting to a Senior Energy Manager, you will work across core sites in London and Milton Keynes, with wider travel across the South where required.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering a world‑class energy management service across multiple client sites
- Identifying, developing and supporting energy and carbon reduction initiatives
- Carrying out energy surveys, analysis and performance reporting
- Developing energy conservation measures (ECMs) and costed business cases with clear ROI
- Supporting compliance with energy‑related legal, technical and statutory requirements
- Providing expert advice on energy efficiency, monitoring and verification
- Working closely with operational teams to embed good energy management practices
- Producing regular and ad‑hoc energy performance reports for clients and stakeholders
- Keeping up to date with utility markets and emerging energy solutions
What we’re looking for
We’re open to candidates with a strong generalist or carbon‑focused background, not just highly technical specialists. The key requirement is the ability to manage energy performance and work confidently with senior stakeholders on major accounts.
- Experience in energy and/or carbon management
- Ability to analyse energy data and identify improvement opportunities
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Eligibility for SC clearance
- Experience within facilities management or multi‑site estates
- Knowledge of energy monitoring systems, HVAC, BMS or related technologies
