Temporary Credit Controller - Lymington - £35,000

Job description

Temporary Credit Controller is being sought by an established and growing manufacturing business based in the Lymington area for a period of 3 months to support with a backlog. You will join a busy finance team where you'll take ownership of the sales ledger and play a key role in driving cash collection and maintaining strong financial controls.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing credit control and chasing outstanding debt
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date sales ledger
  • Posting and allocating cash across multiple currencies
  • Raising invoices and credit notes
  • Handling credit checks and setting customer limits
  • Resolving invoice queries with internal teams and customers
  • Reconciling intercompany balances and bank accounts
  • Producing aged debt reports, forecasts, and KPIs


What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in credit control or sales ledger
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Confident communicator with good stakeholder skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines


Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Sage or similar systems
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
  • Exposure to multi-currency or international customers
  • VAT reporting experience (Intrastat / EC Sales Lists)
