Class 1 Driver

Job description

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers for ongoing general haulage work with a well-established transport company based in Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering consistent work, competitive pay, and straightforward curtain-sider palletised deliveries.

As a Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing 24 palletised deliveries per shift

• Driving curtain-sided articulated vehicles

• Delivering to businesses, RDCs, warehouses, and distribution centres

• Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely

• Completing all PODs, delivery notes, and paperwork

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting

• Monday to Friday ongoing work

• 1012 hour shifts

• £16.50 £19.00 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience and shift

• Weekly pay every Friday

Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
Previous Class 1 general haulage experience essential
Curtain-sider experience preferred
Maximum 6 points (no DR, DD, IN)
Safety boots & hi-vis
