Key Account Manager – Energy Storage Systems (ESS) - United Kingdom (UK) - Remote

The Role:


As Key Account Manager, you will take ownership of key strategic customer relationships across the UK utility‑scale storage market. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor, you’ll influence major project decisions, shape long‑term partnerships, and directly drive revenue growth.


This is a high‑impact, visible role offering autonomy, senior stakeholder exposure, and the opportunity to play a defining part in the UK’s energy transition.


What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Own and grow relationships with key UK clients, including utilities and leading project developers
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to unlock new ESS opportunities
  • Lead the complete sales lifecycle, from early engagement and technical‑commercial discussions through to contract negotiation and deal closure
  • Provide market, competitor, and customer insight to senior leadership to support wider business and product strategy
  • Collaborate closely with internal technical, delivery, and after‑sales teams to ensure seamless project execution and exceptional customer outcomes
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, strengthening brand presence and expanding the UK network


What We’re Looking For:


You’ll thrive in this role if you combine strong commercial acumen with deep ESS market knowledge and confidence operating at senior stakeholder level.


You’ll bring:


  • Strong knowledge of the UK ESS landscape, including regulations, utilities, developers, market trends, and competitors
  • A track record of managing complex key accounts and building long‑term strategic partnerships through consultative selling
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional international travel
  • A driven, results‑focused mindset alongside the ability to collaborate in a global, multicultural environment
