ea Change is looking for a Solutions Architect

Job description

Solutions Architect (Consulting)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Duration: Initial 3–6 months, with strong potential for long-term engagement

Rate: £700–£750 per day (Inside IR35, via umbrella)

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Solutions Architects to join a dynamic consulting environment, working with clients to shape, design, and deliver modern data architectures. This role suits individuals who can operate confidently at both a strategic and hands-on level, bringing clarity and structure to complex, evolving data landscapes.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a trusted advisor, you will:

  • Design and define enterprise-scale data architectures, including data platforms, models, and integration patterns
  • Develop target-state architectures aligned with broader business and technology strategies
  • Establish and mobilise data architecture capabilities within client organisations
  • Implement data governance frameworks, standards, and tooling (e.g. Metadata, lineage, data quality)
  • Define and embed data principles, reusable patterns, and architectural templates
  • Translate data and technology roadmaps into tangible business outcomes
  • Shape data operating models that enable scalable, data-driven organisations
  • Navigate ambiguity, often working in environments where data strategies or platforms are still evolving
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders (C-suite and Director level) to drive data-led decision making

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience designing modern data platforms (cloud, lakehouse, data warehousing, integration)
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a consulting environment
  • Expertise in data governance, data modelling, and architectural frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders

Why Join

This is an opportunity to work on high-impact engagements, helping organisations unlock the value of their data while shaping best-in-class architecture practices. You’ll be part of a collaborative consulting environment with opportunities for long-term engagement and career growth.
