The Role


Industrial Disease Paralegal – Birmingham – Hybrid – up to £35,000


A well-regarded law firm, recognised for its specialist expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to both businesses and individuals, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its expanding Industrial Disease department. The team handles a growing caseload of complex disease-related claims, and this is an excellent opportunity to join a top-tier practice and further develop your career.


In this role, you will manage a caseload of industrial disease claims, including Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Short Tail, and Noise-Induced Hearing Loss matters. Your responsibilities will include investigating liability and quantum, drafting and reviewing documentation, and reviewing relevant records. You’ll work closely with an experienced team, ensuring high-quality and accurate outputs, while benefitting from strong mentorship, structured training, and clear professional development opportunities.


This position offers hands-on exposure to technically complex cases within a supportive and collaborative environment, making it an ideal role for a Paralegal looking to grow their expertise in industrial disease claims.


The Candidate


  • Paralegal with experience assisting on or managing a caseload of industrial disease files
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process
  • Familiarity with Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Short Tail, or Noise-Induced Hearing Loss claims
  • Strong academic background
  • Able to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks, and manage a diverse caseload
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
