Are you looking for a career with a soul? Many people spend their workdays watching the clock. Here, you'll spend your day changing lives.
We are looking for empathetic, "big-picture" thinkers to join our NAS-accredited specialist school. We support incredible young people (ages 6-19) who face significant hurdles-from Autism and ADHD to complex medical and physical needs. Our mission isn't just to teach; it's to build the confidence, life skills, and independence these students need to thrive as adults.
The Role: More Than a Teaching AssistantThis is a multi-faceted role for someone who wants to be more than a face in a classroom. You will be a mentor, a protector, and a champion for your students.
Be the Bridge: Help students navigate sensory challenges and anxiety using a compassionate, person-centred approach.
Beyond the Classroom: Take learning into the community and the outdoors, helping students apply skills to the real world.
Specialist Care: Support our students' physical well-being through high-quality personal care and medical support.
Innovate: Work alongside our expert therapeutic team to find creative solutions to unique learning barriers.
We hire for attitude and train for skill. We want people who are:
Naturally Compassionate: You lead with kindness and respect.
Future-Focused: You see a student's strengths before you see their diagnosis.
Eager to Learn: You want a career, not just a job. We will pay for your professional training and formal qualifications from day one.
Grounded: You can stay calm and proactive when things get challenging.
Qualified: You must have Level 2 (Grade C/4) Maths and English.
If you are tired of the corporate ladder or looking for a meaningful way to use your degree, this role offers a clear sense of purpose. You'll work in a world-class facility with a supportive team that feels like a community. Plus, with term-time-only hours, you get the school holidays to recharge.
