HTLA Higher level teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Southampton

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join us in supporting our local primary schools.

About the Role: You’ll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and 2. You'll work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
  • Lead small group interventions across core subjects
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN
  • Contribute to planning and assessment alongside teachers

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification (level 4)
  • Confident leading whole class learning when required
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude and passion for education
