EYFS Teaching Assistant (relevant EYFS qualification required)

We are seeking a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant EYFS setting in Morecambe. This role involves supporting two lovely children who require additional help accessing the curriculum and provision within the setting. This is a supportive role, ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with specialist teachers and experienced teaching assistants.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support two children in accessing the curriculum and educational provisions.
• Work closely with specialist teachers to deliver Speech and Language (SAL) interventions.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to ensure a supportive learning environment.
• Deliver phonics sessions, if capable, to aid in children's literacy development.
• Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment, focusing on the children's educational needs rather than behaviour management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in an EYFS setting is desirable.
• Ability to deliver phonics sessions is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and other staff.
• A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
• Suitable level 3 qualification
• Use of ICT to record children's progress
