Role Available: SEND Teaching Assistant – Havering

Protocol Education is currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Havering. This is a full-time opportunity supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD, and PMLD. You will play an important role in helping students engage with learning, develop independence, and feel supported in a safe and structured environment.

We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including healthcare, social care, residential support, or those with personal experience supporting individuals with SEND. Previous school experience is not essential, as the school values a positive attitude, empathy, and a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable supporting with personal care when required.

Role Details: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Long-term position with potential for a permanent contract Located in Havering

Ideal Candidate: Builds strong, positive relationships with pupils Patient, flexible, and resilient in their approach Confident supporting children with complex needs Works effectively as part of a team

Relevant training such as Manual Handling, Hoist Training, First Aid, or care-related qualifications is advantageous but not required.
