EYFS Teaching Assistant

Start Date: After Easter 2026

Contract: Full-time until Summer

Pay: £95 per day

Location: Scunthorpe

A vibrant and nurturing primary school in Scunthorpe is looking to welcome an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant into their Early Years team after Easter. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a child-centred environment and understands the importance of early learning foundations.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare-related qualification (essential)
  • Confident understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Good knowledge of the Early Learning Goals (ELGs)
  • Paediatric First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
  • Experience supporting children aged 3–5 in school or nursery settings
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and purposeful early years learning activities
  • Support children individually and in small groups
  • Assist with observations and contribute to progress tracking
  • Promote a caring, safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Work closely with EYFS staff to provide consistent, high-quality support
