Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Lewisham - PRU / Alternative Provision - £100-£120 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time - Immediate Start

  • Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour required
  • Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Experience working in a PRU or alternative provision highly desirable
  • Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Must be confident with behaviour management, de-escalation and classroom support
  • Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Required full time ASAP

The Role - Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant

Seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a PRU setting. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. The role combines classroom support with behaviour intervention, including implementing support plans, using de-escalation techniques, promoting positive behaviour and assisting pupils to access lessons within a structured environment.

The provision supports pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, offering personalised learning, strong behaviour support and clear reintegration pathways.
