Job description
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for the flexibility of supply work? Tradewind is seeking proactive HLTAs to support a variety of welcoming primary schools across Birmingham.
The Role:
- Lead whole-class teaching during teacher PPA time and planned absences.
- Deliver interventions in 1:1 or small-group settings to boost progress in literacy and numeracy.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support development across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
We Are Looking For
- HLTA Status (essential) or equivalent experience delivering whole-class lessons.
- Primary School Experience with a solid understanding of the UK curriculum.
- Flexibility and Adaptability to hit the ground running in different school environments.
- Strong Communication Skills for collaborating with class teachers, SENDCos, and leadership.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
