Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a secondary school in Winchester with a dedicated SEN Provision. The school offers a supportive and structured environment for students with a range of additional needs, providing targeted interventions and personalised learning support.

We are looking for a Learning Support Practitioner who can make a positive impact on student's academic progress, confidence and wellbeing.

We are seeking candidates who:

• Demonstrate patience, empathy and a calm approach
• Build strong, positive relationships with students and staff
• Adapt support to meet individual learning needs
• Celebrate and encourage student progress at all levels
• Are proactive and reliable in a school setting

Contract details:

• Location - Winchester
• Position - Learning Support Practitioner (Secondary SEN Provision)
• Start date - September 2026
• Contract type - Temp to Perm
• Duration - Ongoing
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - £14.25 per hour

Eligibility:

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
• Caring and consistent approach to behaviour support
• Friendly and professional manner
• Strong attendance and good work ethic
• Previous experience supporting young people or SEN is desirable
