Support Worker – Children’s LD Residential Home (3 Beds, Birmingham)
Salary: £26,000 + Sleeps and overtime
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are looking for a caring and reliable Support Worker to join our 3-bed Children’s Learning Disabilities (LD) home in Birmingham. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children with complex needs can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred care to children with learning disabilities and autism.
Support children with communication, independence, daily routines, and life skills.
Follow care plans, behaviour support strategies, and safeguarding procedures.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Support with activities, education, and community engagement.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to team discussions.
Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people with LD, autism, or complex needs (preferred).
A compassionate, patient, and child-centred approach.
Ability to work as part of a team and remain calm under pressure.
Willingness to complete relevant training, including Level 3 Children & Young People if not already held.
Flexible to work shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
