Job DescriptionWe are recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Oldham from September 2026.
This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in secondary teaching, education, youth work or psychology, who are looking to gain paid classroom experience before committing to teacher training.
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classrooms during short-term teacher absence, following pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Role Responsibilities- Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in secondary schools
- Deliver pre-planned work set by the class teacher
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure pupils remain focused and engaged
- Gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting
- Build confidence managing groups of students
No lesson planning or marking required.
Candidate RequirementsThis role is suitable for:
- Graduates in any subject
- Aspiring teachers and future PGCE candidates
- Individuals with strong communication and classroom presence
- Candidates considering long-term careers in education
Previous classroom experience is not essential.
