Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school environment on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is well-suited to someone committed to supporting pupils with their learning, wellbeing, and personal development. You will work alongside teaching staff to provide purposeful support that helps pupils engage with education and develop confidence, independence, and positive relationships.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide support to pupils on an individual and small group basis.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom preparation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs when required.
• Observe and contribute to monitoring pupil progress and development.
• Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow school policies, including safeguarding procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A patient, caring, and reliable approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine interest in supporting children and young people.
• Previous experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
