Primary Teaching Assistant
The RoleThis is a full-time, term-time position supporting pupils primarily in Key Stage 1. You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour, and engagement in the classroom and across the wider school day.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 8:00am–4:00pm (some flexibility required).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to the class teacher
- Work with individuals and small groups of pupils
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Supervise pupils during lunch and playtimes
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Enthusiastic about working with children
- Experience working in UK schools
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Reliable, proactive and able to build positive relationships
