Teaching Assistants (General & SEND) - TA18

Temporary & Permanent Opportunities | Multiple Local Schools

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants, including General Classroom TAs and SEND Teaching Assistants, to support a number of schools in the TA18 area.These roles offer a mix of temporary and permanent positions, with opportunities across early years, primary and secondary settings depending on experience and preference.

The Roles

Depending on the placement, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day learning activities
• Providing targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development

We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
• A caring, patient and proactive approach
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND experience welcomed, not essential for all roles)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
