Job description

Looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference, even on the toughest days?

We’re working with a supportive school in Grays that’s on the lookout for a confident, experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant. This isn’t a sit-back-and-observe kind of role. It’s hands-on, fast-paced, and incredibly rewarding.

  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour with confidence
  • Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff
  • Helping pupils stay engaged, regulated, and ready to learn
What we’re looking for:
  • Solid experience working in SEN settings
  • Confidence handling challenging behaviour, you don’t shy away when things get tricky
  • Strong de-escalation skills, calm, patient, and in control
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people who need a little extra help
  • Resilience, empathy, and a good sense of humour (trust us, it helps)
What you’ll get in return:
  • A full-time, consistent role in a supportive school
  • The chance to build strong relationships and see real progress
  • Ongoing support from a team who gets it
  • Access to free CPD, including SEN and behaviour-focused training
