Reception Teaching AssistantLocation: Turves Green, B31Pay Rate: £500 - £525 per weekStart Date: ASAPContract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm.Long Term Futures are recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Reception Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Turves Green, Birmingham. This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a child with SEMH and behavioural needs, alongside delivering phonics interventions and supporting a whole classroom. This is a varied and rewarding long-term position that has an opportunity to turn permanent, ideal for someone confident working within Early Years, who can balance targeted support with whole class responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with SEMH and behavioural needs
• Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Deliver targeted phonics interventions to small groups
• Support whole class learning within a Reception setting
• Assist with early learning activities including phonics, literacy and numeracy
• Help maintain routines, transitions and a structured classroom environment
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience
• Experience working within Early Years or Reception
• Previous experience supporting SEMH and behavioural needs
• Strong understanding of phonics
• Confident delivering small group interventions
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
