Trauma Informed Teaching Assistant

£14.00 Per Hour

Job description

Full Time | Term Time Only | Start: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a well-established specialist education setting in the Norwich area. This is a full-time, term-time only opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and making a real difference every day.

The role involves working closely with teaching staff to support pupils’ learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will help create a calm, structured and nurturing environment where students feel safe, supported and able to thrive.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN, SEMH or specialist settings
  • Be patient, resilient and confident managing behaviour in a positive, trauma-informed way
  • Have a genuine interest in supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Be a reliable team player with a proactive and flexible approach

In return, you can expect:

  • A supportive and welcoming staff team
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • The chance to work in a setting that truly puts pupils at the heart of everything it does

This role is available for an immediate start and would suit someone looking for a rewarding position where no two days are the same.
