Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school setting on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with their learning, wellbeing, and personal development. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support, helping pupils to engage with learning and achieve their potential in a positive and inclusive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support pupils individually and in small groups under the direction of the class teacher.
- Assist with the delivery of learning activities and classroom organisation.
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, including additional needs, where required.
- Observe, record, and report on pupil progress and behaviour in line with school procedures.
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with children and young people.
- Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to follow guidance, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
- Relevant experience in a school or child-centred setting is desirable but not essential.
