1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant – ASD & Behaviour Focus (No Experience Required)

You will primarily support pupils who may experience: Autism (ASD) Behavioural and emotional regulation needs Communication and social interaction difficulties Anxiety and related challenges

About the RoleStart Date: September 2026 (apply now to secure your role)Schedule: Monday to Friday, term time only Hours: Typically 8:30am–3:30pm (may vary by school)Progression: Opportunity for a permanent contract

Your Responsibilities Deliver dedicated 1:1 support to help pupils access learning Support pupils with ASD using structured, consistent approaches Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour positively Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities Support pupils in line with their EHCPs Build a trusting relationship that promotes safety, routine, and engagement Assist with classroom tasks, transitions, and emotional regulation

About You Passionate about supporting children and young people Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations Confident communicator with a proactive approach Interested in autism, behaviour, and inclusive education Experience with children is helpful but not essential — full training provided
