A great opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their high-performing manufacturing site.
This is a genuine development role, designed for someone early in their engineering career who wants hands-on experience, structured training and a clear pathway to becoming a fully competent multi-skilled maintenance engineer.
You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers on a fast-paced production environment, learning how to fault-find, maintain and improve automated machinery while building long-term career security in a stable manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities across production machinery
- Assist with fault finding on electrical systems, including control panels, sensors, motors and drives, boilers etc
- Carry out basic electrical repairs under supervision
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals
- Support breakdown response to minimise downtime
- Assist with continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to health & safety standards at all times
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
- Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 2/3, BTEC, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or similar)
- Strong interest in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Willingness to learn, take feedback and develop technical ability
- Reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working shifts
- Any exposure to maintenance or manufacturing environments
- Basic understanding of PLCs or automated equipment
- Mechanical awareness or interest in becoming multi-skilled
- Attitude and commitment are more important than experience.
- Full training will be provided
