Therapeutic Support Assistant - Maidenhead

Are you a psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in mental health and education?

We're working with a specialist school supporting students with severe mental health needs and co-existing learning difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference while building practical experience for a future career in psychology, counselling, or education.

The role: As a Therapeutic Support Assistant, you'll work closely with students to deliver tailored emotional and educational support, helping them access learning in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. You'll play a key role in implementing individual care and intervention plans that support both wellbeing and academic progress.

We're looking for:

  • Psychology graduates or similar backgrounds (desirable)
  • A calm, positive and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An understanding of safeguarding (or willingness to learn)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
