We are looking for a Field Service Technician in the South East of England to join our team of experienced service technicians to establish swissQprint UK as a centre of service support excellence. As a Field Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting our customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing swissQprint systems across the UK.


This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone with strong technical troubleshooting skills and a passion for delivering first-class support. You'll be based in the South-East and regularly travel to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays.


You will also work closely with our service and sales teams to ensure smooth installations, efficient servicing, and outstanding customer experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Installing swissQprint flatbed and roll-to-roll printers at customer sites.
  • Performing routine maintenance and technical repairs.
  • Providing remote support via phone, email, and TeamViewer.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, electrical, and software-related issues.
  • Supporting on-site customer training and usage guidance.
  • Participating in trade shows and customer events.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as service reports and CRM updates.


The ideal candidate will have

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronics or electromechanical systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Previous experience in a field service or technical support role (desirable but not essential).
  • Background in large format printer installation/maintenance (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience with RIP tools for large format printing (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
  • A valid UK driver’s licence (essential).
  • Located in the South-East of England (essential).
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
