Tradewind Recruitment is seeking caring and dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in North West London, supporting children with autism, learning disabilities, and complex additional needs.

The RoleAs a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to assist pupils throughout the school day. Many students require 1:1 or small group support to help them engage in learning, communication development, and structured daily routines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Supporting personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs and abilities
- Encouraging the development of communication, social skills, and independence
- Assisting with sensory activities and structured routines
- Supporting positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff to ensure consistent pupil support
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (autism or learning disabilities is highly desirable)
- A patient, caring, and compassionate approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow structured routines and adapt to individual needs
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
