Burrow Down Support Services is seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our friendly team within a respite care setting.

Location:Torquay
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am 11:00am
Pay: £12.82 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a respite service, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in peoples daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
• Supporting individuals with daily routines and promoting independence
• Assisting with meal preparation and, where required, feeding
• Offering emotional support and companionship
• Supporting with mobility and safe moving & handling
• Administering medication (where trained to do so)
• Encouraging participation in activities and social engagement
• Following care plans and risk assessments
• Maintaining accurate records and reports
• Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Supporting individuals to attend appointments or outings where required
• Communicating effectively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals

• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
