From the safety and wellbeing of their teams to the places they help create, Gilbert-Ash is about doing things properly, not just getting the job done.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a busy construction project team in Bristol (Epic Project) as a Document Controller Apprentice.You will play a key role in keeping project information organised, accurate and up to date, supporting the Design Manager, Planning Department and Site Teams to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.If you're someone who enjoys structure, precision and being at the heart of how a project operates, this role offers fantastic exposure to the construction industry and professional project environments.What You Will Be DoingCreating, monitoring and maintaining electronic drawing and document recordsControlling and distributing drawings, ensuring they are date stamped, recorded and filed correctlySupporting BREEAM administration and coordinating project foldersWorking closely with the client's design teamQuality checking information before it is issued to site teamsAssisting with the preparation of Health & Safety Files and O&M ManualsEnsuring documentation is returned to Head Office in line with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standardsMaintaining quality, environmental and health & safety proceduresSupporting wider team administration where requiredYou will gain valuable experience in compliance, quality assurance, project coordination and professional communication, all highly transferable skills for future progression.Who This Apprenticeship Is ForThis apprenticeship would suit someone who:Is highly organised and enjoys working with systems and processesHas strong attention to detail and takes pride in accurate workCan manage tasks to deadlinesCommunicates confidently with different teamsWants to build a long-term career in construction, project support or business administrationIs comfortable working both independently and as part of a teamWhether you are starting your career or looking to develop existing administrative experience in a new industry, this role offers strong foundations for progression.Entry RequirementsGCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesStrong written and verbal communication skillsEligibility to work in the UKPrevious experience in administration or electronic filing systems would be an advantage but is not essential, full training and support will be provided.What You Will GainA nationally recognised Business Administration Level 3 ApprenticeshipHands-on experience with a respected construction employerOngoing support from SWAC throughout your apprenticeshipStrong foundations for a long-term career in administration or project supportEqual OpportunitiesGilbert-Ash and SWAC are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
