About The RoleOur 12‐month programme will develop skills and knowledge, providing stretch and challenge to give you real insight into a career within Buying. The programme includes functional‐specific training and a 4‐week in‐store placement followed by 11 months embedded in a core category buying team at our Nottingham support office across one of our three business units: Beauty, Healthcare and General Merchandise.

The scheme supports you in gaining insight into Category Management. You will play a key role supporting the Category Buyer to implement agreed category plans, contributing to broader projects and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers on promotional plans, in‐store brand activations and pricing updates.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the delivery of customer promotions in store by setting up campaign offers such as 3 for 2, Half Price, on the Boots PMR system.

Support with setting up new product lines and supplier vendors within range review windows.

Share product ideas, trends and insights with the buying team to ensure the best range at Boots.

Support internal teams such as marketing and pricing to ensure initiatives are implemented correctly the first time.

Confirm promotional funding with suppliers and raise associated invoices.

Support the wider category team to review market pricing and promotional activity, keeping our offering competitive.

Run and analyse weekly sales reports for the team, identifying key performance trends.

Support our month‐end process, forecasting promotional retro funding.

What You'll Need (Must‐Haves)

On track to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree with a placement‐enabled programme.

Strong desire to problem‐solve and adapt in a fast‐paced, changing environment.

Excellent organisational and time‐management skills.

Ability to challenge processes and data to drive efficiencies.

Team player with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Proactive drive for self‐development and continuous growth.
