Contract: Permanent Full-time & Part-timeLocation: University Hospitals Plymouth (on-site)Salary: £24,465 per annum, plus enhancements and a whole range of employee benefits (more info below)As a Healthcare Assistant with Marie Curie at University Hospitals Plymouth, you'll be an essential part of the multidisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, person-centred care to patients approaching the end of life. Your role will involve supporting patients with their personal care needs, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and comfort, always maintaining dignity and respect. You'll assist with holistic assessments and care planning, monitor skin integrity, help with rest and sleep, and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.You'll communicate sensitively with patients and their loved ones, reporting concerns promptly and supporting their choices and wishes. Working closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll help manage symptoms, observe and report changes in condition, and contribute to advance care planning.
