SEN Teaching Assistant - Amersham, Buckinghamshire
Are you a personable and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking seeking a new role in Amersham, Buckinghamshire? This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work closely with pupils who require additional support, supporting and aiding them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
The role is based in a supportive and inclusive setting, where staff work collaboratively to provide tailored learning experiences.
About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar education support role
- A patient, empathetic and resilient personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
